Other aspects of performance, such as resilience, tear-resistant neoprene after natural rubber and better than the general synthetic rubber, its wear resistance is also close to natural rubber.
In heat, ozone resistance, weather aging performance, its heat resistance and nitrile rubber equivalent, can be used in the short term of 150 ℃, the use of 90~110℃ within the range of up to 4 months of time, ozone resistance, weathering aging second only to ethylene propylene rubber and butyl rubber, far superior to other general rubber , chemical resistance and water resistance are better than natural rubber and SBR (but the resistance to the strong oxidation of the substance, its tolerance is poor).
Neoprene has good resistance to oil and non-polar solvents, second only to NBR and better than other general rubber. In addition to aromatic and halogenated naphtha, neoprene is very stable in other non-polar solvents, and its vulcanized rubber has only a small swelling. In addition, the rubber is also very good gas tightness, second only to butyl rubber, compared to natural rubber, the gas tightness of large 5~6 times.
Neoprene in the combustion can release the flame retardant hydrogen chloride, therefore, although the fire can be burned, once cut off the ignition immediately on its own. The flame resistance of the rubber is the best in general rubber. Neoprene is widely used as adhesive because of its good bonding properties. Neoprene adhesive is about 80% of the rubber adhesives, which is characterized by high bonding strength, wide range of applications, anti-aging, chemical corrosion resistance, oil resistance, flexibility and easy to use (generally do not need to be vulcanization).
